What We Do

Who are we? Innovord is a team of skilled copyeditors from around the globe.

We are based in the United Kingdom, and work with university presses, academic publishers, and independent researchers in Europe, North America, and Australia.

Innovord was launched in 2011, when a small group of copyeditors banded together for sharing copyediting projects with trusted peers – to keep clients happy and to ensure consistent availability of work for everyone in the group.
In 2018, we also started accepting gifted copyeditors into the group who did not have clients of their own.
Gradually, our team has grown.

What do we do? Copyediting, copyediting, copyediting.

This is our staple. Hardcore copyediting, ranging from superficial tinkering to near-rewriting-type occupational hazards – we do them all, and deliver on the dot.

We also undertake professional proofreading – typically the last line of defence before books go to printers.

Finally, we offer project management for academic publishing houses.
