Our team members are assessed for the following attributes:

• Attention to detail: Good copyeditors must be meticulous in their approach to checking the text for grammatical errors, punctuation, and syntax.

• Consistency: They should ensure that the style, tone, and voice of the text are consistent.

• Language and grammar: They should have a strong command of the English language and a good understanding of grammar rules.

• Communication skills: They should be able to clearly and effectively communicate with the writer and provide constructive opinion.

• Timeliness: They should be able to meet deadlines and deliver the edited text within the specified time frame.

• Adaptability: They should be able to adapt to different writing styles and formats and be able to work with a variety of content.

• Team spirit: They should be able to work well with others, including authors, publishers, and other team members.

• Professionalism: They should maintain a high level of professionalism in all their interactions and be committed to producing quality work.

To this end, prospective applicants are required to complete a demanding application process consisting of a written sample and a copyediting test. We typically accept fewer than 10% of applicants. This intensive screening process allows us to offer clients the highest possible QoS.
